Change your Ideal burner wick
There are a lot of different burners used in oil lamps. After a period of burning the wick needs to be replaced. A flat burner has the easiest wick to change. Just turn it down until it cannot be turned further and remove the wick from from the bottom of the burner. Put a new one in and turn the wick back up.
On a round burner (Kosmos type) it becomes a little more complex, because the wick is flat bu comes out round and needs to be curved when inserting it in the burner.
The most complex wick to replace on the DHR burners is the Ideal burner. People often ask us how to change the wick so we decided to make a step by step guide to show how to change the wick on an Ideal burner.
